Teachers

Many students don’t consider university as a possible or desirable pathway to follow at the end of year 12. Yet studies show that a university education can have a positive impact on lifelong experiences.

The aim of Talk About Uni is to encourage high school students and their families to discuss the possibility of university attendance. We want to show students what assistance is available at university and we want parents and carers to know this too. A further aim is to support student academic performance through the VCE years.

In asking students to consider university as a post-school pathway, we are asking them to think about what interests and enthuses them and how these things could translate into a productive and happy future.

This website is intended to complement secondary school initiatives and to assist time-poor teachers. It seeks to assist students, parents and teachers on a number of levels.
